Driving
- Many people return to driving after stroke
- Discuss this with your doctor
- Tell your insurance company that you had a stroke
- Tell the licensing authority that you had a stroke
- Certain things stop you driving after stroke e.g. seizures, problems with your eyes, problems with your thinking and memory
- You might have to do an assessment of your driving
- This assessment will decide if it is safe for you to drive
- This assessment will tell you if you need to make changes to your car
